Gary Eberly
Director of Equipping Strategy
Gary will be stepping into the role of Director of Equipping Strategy within the Equipping division of the Upstream Collective. Upstream Equipping provides resources, practical tools, and relational support - such as cohorts, coaching, books, and training - to help churches develop a culture of sending.
In this new role, Gary will provide vital operational leadership in an effort to see more and more local churches equipped to send well, embracing their calling to advance the gospel among the nations.
Before coming to Upstream, Gary worked in commercial real estate for the federal government for many years. His experience in a business role in the public sector - along with his life-long zeal to mobilize churches and individuals into missions - has prepared him well for this new adventure.
Gary has also served as an elder and the volunteer Missions Pastor at Brandywine Grace Church in Downingtown, PA for the last 15 years, and he will continue to serve in this capacity. Under his leadership, Brandywine has become a sending church, sending several families long-term to unreached peoples and places. His passion includes seeing believers from every walk of life become Global Christians.
Gary is married to his wife Laura, and they have four grown kids - two boys, Ethan and Gavin, and two girls, Sophie and Vani.
