Dave Childers

In his role as Upstream’s Sending Network Director, Dave takes the lead on mentoring mission pastors and leaders, cultivating community among leaders, and recruiting new churches for more and better global sending. He also helps lead our Upstream cohorts.

Before coming to Upstream, Dave served eight years as the Global Outreach Pastor at Park Community Church, a multi-site church in Chicago. Under his leadership, Park sent out numerous members long-term, primarily to least-reached peoples in the Muslim world. Beforehand, Dave was the missions pastor at two different churches in the Seattle area and served in mobilization and church partnerships for a US-based mission agency.

Dave is married to Glenda and they have two grown daughters and seven grandchildren.
