Upstream wants to help you get there. From the very first conversation to your first steps on the field—and every step after—we walk with you and your sending church to discern your calling, prepare you well, and keep you heath and empowered for life and ministry on the field.

Our process is personal and church-centered. We work hand-in-hand with your church to help you walk through a sending process, give you personalized development, train you to support raising, and help  you land in a ministry context that fits your gifts and calling. Whether you're going mid-term (2 months -3 years)  or long-term (3+ years), our team is here to guide and support you and your church on your mission journey.

Our Field Network members are a combination of veteran missionaries and trusted national and international churches, all committed to seeing the gospel declared, new disciples made, and new churches planted.

Sending Process

The sending process is the journey a pre-field missionary takes to be assessed, prepared, and sent through Upstream Sending.

Marketplace Sending

Whether taking a job overseas, starting a business, studying abroad, or retiring internationally, marketplace Christians can bring the gospel into places where full-time vocational missionaries may not have access.
