This cohort is a 3-month, guided experience that helps churches understand and implement the 17 Sending Church Elements—a proven framework that brings structure, clarity, and intentionality to your missions strategy.

The cohort kicks off with a two-day in-person intensive designed to build relationships, set a strong foundation, and introduce the full framework of the Sending Church Elements. 

From there, you’ll engage in regular online group sessions and personalized coaching calls that bring the content to life in your unique church context. This rhythm of shared learning and personal application fosters encouragement, accountability, and the exchange of real-world ideas.

By the end of the cohort, you’ll have the tools and guidance to articulate your church’s missions convictions, design a mobilization strategy, build a sustainable sending pipeline, and implement care processes that support your missionaries before, during, and after the field.

You’ll walk step-by-step through the Elements with a group of peers, guided by experienced Upstream leaders. It’s one of the most transformational offerings we provide—and one that has helped dozens of churches move from confusion to confidence in sending.
