Global Fund

Over the last several years, Upstream has seen God’s hand at work in extraordinary ways. More than 20 missionaries are serving on the field through our sending network, and that number is projected to double by 2026. We’ve released two new books—adding to a growing library of 15 published books—and we continue to train and lead cohorts of sending churches on every continent. What began as a vision to help churches send well has become a global movement, equipping pastors and leaders to participate fully in the Great Commission.

This growth, however, has stretched our capacity. To meet the opportunities God has placed before us, we’ve set a $100,000 Global Fund goal for this year. And thanks to the generosity of partners, the first $30,000 given will be matched—doubling your impact. Every dollar you give goes twice as far to resource churches, care for missionaries, and multiply sending efforts across the globe.

Your gift is directly fueling the advance of the gospel to the nations. Together, we can seize this moment of momentum, expand the reach of the global church, and ensure missionaries and sending churches are equipped to go further and send well.

When my colleague connected with Upstream, it was like an answered prayer. We've been labouring to help the Church in Northern Uganda share God's heart for all nations for the last 7 years, and seen many churches catch the vision. Inevitably, however, we found that churches were getting stuck. They didn't know how to put their new-found vision into action. We and the pastors and ministry leaders who have been trained by Larry at Upstream are so appreciative for sharing such valuable experience and practical materials. Now we have resources that point us how to keep moving on our quest to help churches in our region become effective senders.

Thank you, Upstream!

It was a great pleasure learning from Larry. He was very accommodating, even with the significant time difference. To give some context, we are a local church based in Sydney, Australia, and Larry travels frequently between the US and Spain.

As a local church committee, we learned a great deal from his experience in global missions, gaining valuable insights and ideas on how to engage more effectively as a church body. Larry was patient and generous with practical examples that were highly relevant to our context.

Although our situations differ slightly, it was clear that he carries a genuine heart for the expansion of God’s Kingdom. We are truly grateful for the time, zoom meetings, and guidance he provided in shaping our understanding of mission fields, church planting, and the evangelism of the Gospel.

Thank you, Larry, Bradley and the upstream team. Soli Deo Gloria

As the landscape of God's global mission is changing with the center of gravity shifting to the Global South, there is a growing interest and involvement of churches in missions both through local engagements and global sending... For the past two years I have been privileged to enjoy Upstream resources and training. Particularly, the Sending Church Cohort which we completed a few days ago has been most beneficial to me. It captures everything around the sending process, from the point of raising missions awareness, establishing missions convictions (philosophy), developing a missions vision and strategy, involving the entire church, evaluating different sending models, identifying, preparing, and sending missionaries in healthy ways, getting them established in the field, how to care for them, maintaining strategic focus, receiving missionaries back, innovating as a sending church, and influencing other churches, etc.

It has been a great time of learning, reading, deliberating, and trying to contextualize and put in practice the principles being learned. With this training we are able to help the church to develop a missions identity before activities, and culture before ministry...

Upstream Collective has been a great blessing to my mobilization ministry in Guatemala and across Latin America. The Spanish-language resources we now have access to are incredibly relevant and applicable to our contexts, and have helped us equip churches and mobilizers more effectively. Larry and his team have been gracious and collaborative, always showing cultural sensitivity, flexibility, and deep respect for our local leadership. We’re grateful for this partnership and excited to continue working together for the sake of the nations. Thank you for all you do!
