The Global Sending Church

The Great Commission belongs to every church—everywhere.

Wherever your church is located, you are not just a recipient of the gospel—you are a participant in God’s global mission. Around the world, a movement is rising. Churches across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and beyond are no longer content to simply receive missionaries—they’re stepping into their role as senders.

At Upstream, we’re honored to partner with these churches. For the past five years, we’ve walked alongside global leaders—offering tools, training, and encouragement as they contextualize sending church principles for their unique cultures and challenges.

Training in Colombia

TEAM Latin America and the Upstream Collective present the 2027 Sending Church Training, a simple, biblical, and practical pathway to help ministry leaders in Bogota, Colombia:

  • Understand what characterizes a sending church

  • Cultivate a culture of prayer and missionary convictions through the church

  • Identify and prepare potential missionaries

  • Develop best practices for short-term missions

Sending Church Training will include:

  • Biblical teaching

  • Group discussion

  • Practical planning for your local church or denomination

  • Simple tools you can use immediately

 

The two-day training will offer a biblical pattern that can be adapted to your local church size, culture, and context.

The Sending Church Training shall be hosted at Truth and Grace Church in Bogota, Colombia on January 12 and 13, 2027​

Multi-lingual Resources

Our foundational resources are a great place for any church to start. We have translated these resources into Spanish and will be adding additional translations in the future.
