Missionary life has its challenges. Statistics show that 70% of those that leave the field do so for preventable reasons. Team conflict is the number one reason for missionary attrition, followed by trials and suffering. How then can local churches play their role in developing spiritually, emotionally, and relationally sent-ones, even before they land on the mission field? This session will explore the biblical foundation for suffering and missions, the reasons for suffering, and how to prepare for and respond to trials in the life of a missionary.

This training will equip churches and their leaders with resources to think about how missionary care is not limited to on-the-field care, but begins even in pre-field care through developing missionary grit in their sent ones.
