Establishing Advocacy Teams

1.99

Advocacy Teams (or Barnabas Teams, Missionary Care Teams, etc.) are simply a model many sending churches use to provide ongoing care for sent ones. These teams do not, however, care for sent ones so that no one else in the church has to. One of their most important responsibilities is representing the sent one and their needs before the rest of the church. Advocacy Teams have been proven to maintain the kind of relationship that not only benefits the sending church and the sent ones, but also gives evidence to the God who binds them together. This 6-page document was produced in collaboration with The Austin Stone Community Church and Sojourn Community Church. It explains what Advocacy Teams are, how they function, and how churches can get them started.
